Best Backpacking Cookware
When it comes to the best backpacking cookware to take with you to the backcountry, there are many choices. You don’t want your bag to be too heavy but you still need something to make hot food at the end of the day.
The best hiking coke wear should be as light as possible and not too big and heavy for your needs, just add a backpacking stove and titanium spark and you’re ready to cook. Even if you are just going to make instant coffee for backpacking or need hot water for your camping coffee maker, you will need backpacking cookware.
I’m going to show you my favorite lightweight Cookware set and Cokeware pieces (not in any particular order). There are titanium cookware sets, anodized aluminum cookware sets, and even a stainless steel cookware set.
Stanley Adventure Base Camp
Stanley’s Adventure Base Camp Kick Set is a camping cookware kit that basically does not compromise on weight. This further improves cooling efficiency while maintaining the ability to pack the Stanley set. It works with four people and a nest for easy packing in the corner of your car’s trunk or canoe duffel. It comes with utensils, pans, plates, cooking and cooking utensils, and more. The price is hard to beat, and its durable stainless steel construction adds value. After two years of testing, the steel has not changed color, and all components still look fresh.

With too many pieces comes extra weight in your pack. While it builds a nest together, it’s too heavy to go too far as part of a human-powered kick kit. The plates are a bit small and are only suitable for small portion sizes. That said, for a real “glamming” experience, some people want to get some plates from their home kitchen. For backpacking, almost any other product we estimate is a better choice because of its heavier weight. This Stanley set is really great for budget-savvy people who are traveling by boat, plane, or car and want a functional kitchen in a nested package that is perfect for large groups. Or, you can take individual pieces and customize them.
Snow Peak Trek 900 Titanium Cook Set Pot And Skillet
I’ve been going to pieces of titanium cookware for years, more than I can remember. It has been used for cooking thousands, yes, thousands.
The Snow Pack Track 900 Titanium set includes a 30 fluid ounce vessel that is 900ml (less than 1 liter only) and a smaller skeleton, so you can make two different dishes, and you can make one main and one side dish.
Or if you don’t need to use the skeleton as needed, you can use it as a lid for other dishes, and help keep your food moist. But to be honest, the lid of the pan is not perfect for cooking because it is not non-stick, so it is difficult to cook food like pancakes or eggs.

They are both made of pure grade A Japanese titanium. Titanium Ultra Light Backpacking is perfect for Cookware, as I will explain later in the Buyer’s Guide. It is extremely lightweight for one, which makes it much more comfortable to carry.
Both items sport handles that fold flat down for more compact storage. This means it’s about to be the most delusional time of the year, as well. And if you want to keep your cookware away from other items in your bag, say if you don’t have enough clean water to wash them, you can take advantage of the accompanying mesh carry bag. Lightweight stuff got rid of it
And especially with reassurance, the set comes with a lifetime guarantee.
MSR Trail Mini Duo
The MSR Trail Mini Duo is one of the lightest kick sets we’ve ever experienced and makes it a great solo backpacking partner. When you adjust the performance benefits of aluminum construction over long journeys, you may find that MSR is one of the lightest ways to build camp kitchens. The trail mini pair, its simplest, is just a small pot, cup, and lid. However, it does come with just the right set of accessories to help you improve performance without losing weight. Finally, you can put a compact stove and an eight-ounce fuel canister right inside. The entire package light mesh fits in the luggage bag which is included with the MSR set.

For any kind of “proper” cooking (basically, anything that is not frozen dry or pasta), the MSR Trail Mini Duo will struggle, because the pot is small, long, and narrow. The anodized coating is best for non-stick treatment which feels more special with limited applications. Although you can avoid cooking eggs in it, it is really good for boiling water and hydrating food. On a recent backpacking trip, the grip of the rubber pot got a little hot on the single burner stove and melted. You’ll want to make sure you’re looking at this vessel on a high-powered single burner. In addition to these warnings, this is what we get when we go on a backpacking or hiking escape on the weekends alone.
TOAKS Ultralight Titanium Cook System
Now it’s not just one or two pieces of Cokeware but the whole cooking system. It has everything you need in a small lightweight kit.
The set consists of a large vessel of 550 mm, measuring 95 mm x 80 mm, a stove to go under it, a folding spoon that doubles like a fork (spark), and A windshield to keep the air from cooling your food. You try cooking.
The pot has its own perfect lid. The lid has a small folding handle that is cool to the touch and locks securely in place. And inside the vessel are easy measurements.
Better yet, the whole set is made of titanium. Titanium not only heats up and retains heat well, but is also extremely lightweight to carry. In addition, it is corrosion-resistant and extremely durable, despite being so thin and light.

The set also comes complete with its bright orange mesh carry bag.
Just know that this titanium cook set uses esbit stove fuel for cooking which is not for everyone. If you want to use it with your gas canister stove, look elsewhere.
Sea to Summit X Set 32
The Sea to Summit X Set 32 is notable for its breakable silicone sidings that will easily slip through the cracks in your bag. It’s not heavy or bulky, and if space is your biggest concern, it will give you the best bang for the buck. It comes complete with a pot, kettle, and pan so anyone can cook whatever their heart desires. We experimented with this set while exploring the beaches of Hawaii and the high seas of Iceland. We used only kettles to boil water for these fastpacking trips, which proved to be a great success, fitting easily into our walking pack.

Unfortunately, this set is not the most reliable or durable. Twice in our six years of testing this set, we accidentally burned the silicone sidewalls and damaged the plastic lids when we were not paying full attention to them. The handles are also weak and flexible, with the design being surprisingly heavy. If you can promise to be diligent in supervising your food while cooking, you will know that this set will take up minimal space in a pack, which is attractive for those where space-saving is very important.
